Challa Station Endurance Ride
Recently I had the good fortune to attend an endurance horse riding event at Challa station in Western Australia. Challa station has been owned by the Dowden family since 1888 and is located approximately 580km northeast of Perth.
I was impressed by the rider's commitment to the sport, their passion for animals and their overall sportsmanship. Behind the scenes and at the finish line it felt more like a social event with old mates than a fierce competition. While documenting, I chose to focus on the more quiet moments of the day showing the riders winding down at camp after a long day of riding.
If you are into horse riding, live in WA and keen on making some life-long friends, I suggest you contact the Western Australian Endurance Rider's Association (WAERA) to learn when and where the next ride will be.
